Welcome to the Simplified Bible Project. This project aims to translate the entire Bible into a simplified and modern language in order to make it more accessible for the modern reader.

Many Bible translations insist on preserving the ancient metaphors and styles. This is not a bad thing, of course, but it contributes to the fossilisation of various parts of the modern language in ways that don't serve the faith the Bible is supposed to promote.

This translation will be published in parts. The Book of Psalms is available for purchase and can be read online on this website.

Eventually, the entire Bible will be published in a single volume.
